By registering for any trek, hike, camping trip, or adventure organized by GOAT, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Participant Responsibility
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit and medically capable of completing the activity they register for.
Many of our treks involve:
- Long-distance hiking
- Uneven or steep terrain
- Remote locations
- Limited facilities
- Changing weather conditions
If you have any medical conditions that may affect your participation, please consult your physician before booking.
2. Nature of Adventure Activities
Outdoor adventures involve inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated.
By participating, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with hiking, trekking, camping, transportation, weather changes, wildlife encounters, natural hazards, and other unforeseen circumstances.
GOAT will take every reasonable precaution to ensure participant safety but cannot guarantee a risk-free experience.
3. Itinerary Changes
All itineraries and schedules are tentative.
Due to factors beyond our control—including weather conditions, road closures, government regulations, permit restrictions, natural events, or safety concerns—GOAT reserves the right to:
- Modify the itinerary
- Change the route
- Adjust timings
- Change accommodations
- Cancel or postpone an event if necessary
If GOAT cancels an event before departure, participants will receive a refund according to our Cancellation Policy.
4. Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
The possession or consumption of alcohol, illegal drugs, or any intoxicating substances is strictly prohibited during all GOAT events.
Participants found violating this policy may be removed from the trip without refund.
5. Safety
Participants must:
- Follow all instructions from trek leaders and guides
- Stay with the group unless instructed otherwise
- Inform trek leaders of any injury or illness immediately
- Respect safety decisions made by GOAT staff
GOAT reserves the right to refuse or discontinue participation of anyone whose behavior compromises the safety or enjoyment of others.
6. Transportation
Transportation is often provided through trusted third-party operators.
While GOAT carefully selects service providers, we cannot guarantee specific vehicle models, seating arrangements, traffic conditions, or exact arrival times.
Unexpected delays may occur.
7. Accommodation & Facilities
Outdoor adventures are intended to provide an authentic experience.
Depending on the event, accommodations may include:
- Camping tents
- Shared rooms
- Dormitories
- Homestays
- Basic lodges
Restrooms, showers, electricity, mobile connectivity, and running water may be limited or unavailable in remote locations.
8. Environmental Responsibility
GOAT follows a strict Leave No Trace philosophy.
Participants agree to:
- Respect wildlife and nature
- Avoid littering
- Carry back personal waste whenever required
- Avoid damaging plants or natural features
- Respect local communities, customs, and cultural sites
Failure to follow environmental guidelines may result in removal from the event.
9. Personal Belongings
Participants are responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings.
GOAT is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal items during transportation or throughout the event.
10. Equipment
Participants are responsible for taking reasonable care of any GOAT-owned equipment provided during the event.
Any intentional or negligent damage may result in repair or replacement charges.
11. Photography & Videography
GOAT may capture photographs and videos during events for documentation and promotional purposes.
By participating, you grant GOAT permission to use such images and videos on its website, social media platforms, advertisements, and marketing materials.
If you do not wish to appear in photographs or videos published by GOAT, please notify the event coordinator before the event begins.
Please note that GOAT cannot control photographs or videos captured and shared by other participants.
12. Trek Permits
Some treks require permits from Forest Departments or government authorities.
Participants must provide any requested identification documents before the specified deadline.
Failure to provide the required information may result in cancellation of participation without refund if permits cannot be obtained.
Additional permit fees may apply for foreign nationals or as required by local authorities.
13. Punctuality
Participants are expected to arrive at the designated pickup location before the scheduled departure time.
GOAT reserves the right to depart as scheduled. Participants who miss the departure due to late arrival will be considered “no-shows,” and refunds may not be available.
14. Cancellation & Refunds
All cancellations and refunds are governed by GOAT’s published Cancellation Policy.
Certain promotional offers, discounts, or special bookings may have different cancellation terms.
15. Promotional Offers
Unless otherwise stated:
- Discounts apply only to the trek or event fee.
- Taxes, booking fees, convenience fees, and permit charges are excluded.
- Promotional offers cannot be combined with other offers.
- Promo codes may have limited validity, availability, or participant quotas.
- GOAT reserves the right to cancel promotional offers in cases of misuse or fraud.
16. Payment Authorization
GOAT shall not be liable for failed or declined payment transactions resulting from bank authorization issues, payment gateway errors, card limits, or other financial institution restrictions.
17. Overbooking
In rare cases where registrations exceed available capacity due to technical or payment processing issues, GOAT reserves the right to offer affected participants either:
- A full refund, or
- Transfer to another available event.
18. Limitation of Liability
Participation in outdoor activities is voluntary.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GOAT, its founders, employees, volunteers, trek leaders, guides, and partners shall not be liable for any injury, illness, accident, death, property loss, delay, inconvenience, or expenses arising from participation in any event except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Participants accept full responsibility for the risks associated with adventure travel.
19. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for any GOAT event, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
GOAT reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The latest version published on our website will apply to all future bookings.
